Eckles Library received dual honors this fall for its Service Excellence. GW students ranked Eckles Library among the top 5 services in the Spring 2009 Service Excellence satisfaction survey. In November, the Service Excellence Celebration Awards Committee announced that Eckles Library was the recipient of the 2009 Departmental Service Excellence Award. Students and nominators emphasize the events and displays that the library staff use to make Eckles an academically enriching environment. Eckles also hosts a monthly Language Café and weekly math and science resource centers to support GW students’ academic achievement. One nominator also mentioned that the 25 cent cups of coffee also are a nice feature, particularly during final exam time.
